Digambar Jain Pilgrimage “Shree Ratnagiri”

Amidst Beautiful Nature in Konkan Jain Pilgrim place is taking shape.


On Mumbai –Goa Highway near Chiplun City at Kamathe, a huge Digambar Jain Pilgrim place is being developed. The work is undertaken by Chiplun Taluka Digambar Jain Society developmental organization. The place is situated in the valley surrounded by greenary and Mango trees Beside which is the river Shivanadi and pure water storage tank .

This place is located exactly at the centre distance on Mumbai Goa Highway NH-17 (300-300 Kms from both the sides) Its just 200 mts. away from the main highway and is visible from the highway.This huge and holy pilgrim place is being developed due to the blessings of Param Pujya Acharya Shree Somsen Maharaj.
Sayhadri Mountain ranges at the East and Arabin sea at the West this pilgrim place situated in the midst of Sahydris is an asset to the Jains. This pilgrim place is Unique in konkan and we are sure it will become one of the renouned of pilgrim place in India. In this beauty of nature the pilgrims will seek peace and solace.
The most generous and pious leader Late Balasaheb Mate has donated 15 guntha land to the development of this Jain pilgrim place.
The place has a huge statue of Bhagwan Mahavira, Mulnayak Bhagwan Abhinandan Prarthana Mandir, Dharmashala and Bhojnalaya with all the facilities, Manasthambha, MuniNiwas, Sabhagriha and Library with books on religion.On 23 Jan. 2008 Under the guidance of Madhur Prathishtacharya Pandit Pradipji Jain, Mumbai, the “Bhoomi Poojan” Function took place in presence of all the Jain Society. According to The guidance of Pandit Pradipji Jain, Construction plan is in accordance to Vastushastra.So far Rs. 18 Lakhs have been spent and yet Rs. 2 crores are required for the remaining planned construction. So its our request that you people should
